Wild Elephant Momma Faints After Her 1-Year-Old Calf Falls Into Hole, Brave Rescuers Perform CPR on Her and Save Her Life

You know, here at Animal Comedy, we talk about rescued animals all the time. We cover as many of those stories as we can. Because they are pawsitive. And because they remind us of the kindness that people have in their hearts. We write about dogs and cats getting rescued all the time - because people tend to go out of their way to help cats and dogs more often than they do other animals. Which means that stories like the one we're covering today are relatively rare. 

Wild animals - especially dangerous ones - rarely get the same treatment as pets that can be animals, but it does happen sometimes. Every once in a while, we will see a horse getting rescued from an icy pond by kind people, or 2 lions tasting freedom for the first time after being rescued, or a bear getting rescued from captivity and absolutely blossoming. It's rare, and it's amazing, and today's story is incredibly amazing too.

    Somehow, this is both one of the saddest and the most wholesome stories that we have come across lately. To think about the amount of stress that this elephant momma had to feel when her baby fell down there to actually faint is insane.

    But we are also so happy that it happened in a place where it was safe for these people to come up to her and help her. Which is also not obvious. People rarely step out of their way to help, and this was no easy rescue mission. Gives us hope for humanity, honestly, seeing people do things like this. So we're thankful.
